Privacy policy

Your calendar stays yours.

This policy explains the limited Google Calendar access used by Weeknight Table and the choices you have.

Effective August 31, 2026 Last updated August 31, 2026
In plain language

We check when the family is free or busy. We do not read what the events are about, and we cannot change your calendar.

01

Google data we access

When you choose to connect Google Calendar, Weeknight Table requests only:

  • Read-only access to your calendar list, used to locate your primary calendar and an imported Cozi calendar.
  • Free/busy availability for those selected calendars during the Monday-through-Friday meal-planning window.

Weeknight Table does not request or read event titles, descriptions, attendees, locations, notes, attachments, or other event details.

02

How the data is used

Availability is used only to estimate whether each weekday is light, busy, or packed so the private planner can suggest meals that fit the time available. Google user data is not used for advertising or to build an advertising profile.

03

Storage and retention

The Google connection credential is stored only on the family’s private app server. Calendar availability is requested when the planner refreshes and is not used to create a separate history of calendar events. The credential remains there until the owner deletes it or replaces the connection.

04

Sharing and disclosure

Google user data is not sold. It is not shared with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties. It is processed only by Weeknight Table and Google’s Calendar service to provide the requested scheduling feature, except if disclosure is required by law.

05

Google API Limited Use

Weeknight Table’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

06

Security

The meal planner runs on a private home network. Google credentials stay on the server and are not sent to the browser. Access is limited to the minimum read-only permissions needed for calendar selection and free/busy checks.

07

Your controls

You can disconnect Weeknight Table in the private app and revoke Google access at any time from your Google Account connections. You can also request deletion of the stored connection using the developer contact shown on the Google authorization screen.

Questions or deletion requests

Use the developer support contact displayed on the Weeknight Table Google authorization screen. That contact can also help remove a stored Google connection from the private app server.
